One day after the 4th Company of the Pavlovsky Regiment of the Russian Imperial Guard mutinied, other reserve guards units joined the revolution in Petrograd, Russia. Defying orders to surrender their arms the mutineers wrecked the police barracks and by noon several public buildings were in flames and there was outbreaks of sporadic shooting throughout the city.
