Italian submarine Argo torpedoed Canadian destroyer HMCS Saguenay 200 miles west of Ireland, destroying the bow and killing 21. Saguenay would later able to reach Barrow in Furness, England, United Kingdom for repairs that would last until 22 May 1941.
