Buddy & Bob (Buddy Holly) opened for Elvis Presley at the Big D Jamboree, held at Lubbocks Cotton Club, Texas. Nashville talent scout Eddie Crandall was in audience and arranged for Holly to audition and record demos for the Decca US label.
