Earning a Medal of Honour, Lieutenant Christian F. Schilt flew a Vought O2U Corsair aircraft on ten trips between 6 and 8 Jan 1928 to the village of Quilali, Nicaragua to evacuate 18 US Marines wounded in fighting with hostile rebels.
